SunCal - Making a Late Game Surge?

In looking at recent posts, letters, videos and other various net-detritus in the run up to tonight's hearing on SunCal's Proposed Master Plan, I'm noticing some misleading statements about the soccer facility situation as stated in the package.

So first off, I'm going to give the SunCal team a gold star for considering Alameda Soccer Club's comments and upping the soccer field inventory to what appears to be 12 fields:

4 in the "Proposed" Sports Complex
2 at the Community Park Area
3 in the current Hornet Field area
3 in the current "Alameda Point" area

Of course this is all proposed, conceptual and preliminary and everything can go sideways at the drop of a hat, but I would say that overall this is a nice start for Alameda's largest co-ed youth sports organization.

Now the issues are about process and feasibility. How many fields stay on line during construction? How long until the proposed sports complex actually opens? Is it feasible to put 3 soccer fields in the midst of a proposed hotel and conference center complex? Who controls access?

It seems like the Empire has beneficent qualities after all, doesn't it, young Skywalker?

After playing outdoors at the base for last few weeks I think the city should think about an outdoor turf field possibly with lights, maintenance aside the coming drought years are going to hurt the current fields as well.
